Perhaps we could say a universalist view would include that: It is the birthright of all humanity to know one's inner being and it is with this purpose that all the prophets have come.

Universal Sufism is an initiatic universalist spiritual path that can be practiced concurrently with one's own base religion, or independently of another religion.

There are five activities:

•Esoteric School (spiritual practices sampled at the meetups)

•Universal Worship (we light candles honoring all the great religions and read from the scripture of each on a common theme)

•Spiritual healing (absent healing service, prayers and service for the sick)

•Zirat (Study of symbology)

•Brotherhood and Sisterhood (Love and sympathy across the human family)

The Sufi Movement consciously strives to free itself from limiting dogma. While some core mystical concepts seem to abound, everyone is free to believe as they wish. This is a path of self-discovery, and in that way truth is not taught but discovered independently.

As an initiatic order, members are initiated and have a guide or mentor on the spiritual path, however, this person can only act as friendly loving support to each person's individual growth. The guide does not determine the path for another, only shows the ways to open the doors to one's own path, and then is standing by with friendly support if desired.

The way was passed down by an individual: Hazrat Inayat Khan, who it seems was a great prophet, however, made no claim, and all are free to focus, love, and attune to any, all, or none, of the great masters, saints, and prophets as they choose.

The meaning of God is to be discovered and addressed as is to the preference of each individual.

We offer only a way to the soul, and with this each person will more and more arrive at their own answers.

Our order is a volunteer order (no one receives money from the public or from the membership) free from dogma, fundraising, as well as being free from mental, emotional, or psychological forms of control.

We simply offer a way for humanity to discover the birthright of each individual within themselves, and in this way foster the evolution of humanity. With self discovery and the core ideals of Love, Harmony, and Beauty, we also try to discover the Unity of Religious Ideals facilitating tolerance across all religions. Furthermore our way is based on the ideal of Spiritual Liberty, respecting the spiritual potential within each individual, on their path of self discovery, and offering only a way for each person to grow and REALIZE THEIR OWN TRUTH.
